[爸爸, 生日快乐]

Remembering. . . I treated Papa & family officially to Dian Xiao Er last year with my 1st job's salary to their famous roast duck (the one Aisyah said it's orgasm!). We always afraid of dining out with Papa coz he will always find the food too oily, too salty, or too ex. But for that rare time, he said it was nice, to his liking. We didnt take a photo to capture that moment, i still tot to myself that nvm we still have next year.

However, we do not have any more next year to sit around the table and eat together. We missed his cooking, we missed all his speciality dishes. i miss his sweet & sour pork which he will cook during those special occasions. Sadly, none of us inherit the skills to whip up those dishes. I guess it not just the skills he possessed but also his love to cook for his family. Beside those nice food he cooked, we also rmbr hw 'tasteless' his food were during the normal days. Coz he will only 3 method (boil, steam & occasionally stir-fry)& using only natural flavour, meaning no/very small amt of salt & soy sauce to cook his food. Deep frying & heavy seasoning were only be used during special occasions.

Today is Papa's birthday (lunar). des & i went to the temple to visit him & uncle chen, my dad's best frd with (DXE) roast duck drumstick, their fav ABC stout & mooncakes. Again i teared, touching the cold yellow urn which contains papa's ashes. Momma & shan cant make it as shan is down with chickenpox & mum nids to take care of her. . .

I miss you, papa.
