title: Face Memory Test

[Face Memory Test]

i read Joanne's blog and went to try out my ability to memorising the faces. as im always good at rmbr the faces. Like, I will rmbr this person appear in this movie and that movie..blah blah.

here is my score:

A) Recongition Score (if you saw it)
My score - 91% (avg score is 92%)

This is a measure of your ability to remember the photos you've seen, regardless of the part in which you saw them. From all 24 photos shown in Parts 1 & 2, you recognised: 22 photo(s).

B) Temporary Memory Score (when you saw it)
My score - 77% (avg score is 68%)

This is a measure of how often you recognised a photo and matched it to the correct part, instead of just remembering which ones you'd seen. From all the photos you recognised, you matched: 17 photo(s) to the correct part.

Sleep scientists say that:
Recognition memory for faces is unaffected by sleep loss. A person who has not slept for as much as 35 hours can perform as well as someone who is not sleep deprived.
the area of the brain that controls temporal memory can be affected by prolonged sleep loss and/or ageing. So a healthy 65 year old who sleeps normally would be able to perform this test similarly to a 20 year old who has gone without sleep for 36 hours.

BUT the area of the brain that controls temporal memory can be affected by prolonged sleep loss and/or ageing. So a healthy 65 year old who sleeps normally would be able to perform this test similarly to a 20 year old who has gone without sleep for 36 hours.

In the section above you made 2 "false positive(s)". That is, thinking you remembered seeing the photo when you hadn't seen it before. Average false positive score is 1-3.

It is quite true as practically i got some difficuties to rmbr things temporay like 'forgetting to bring the papers that Vivien wants' which may dued to my countless nights of work. =/ but hey i still good at memorising things.

so how do you fare? (click to test)

Anyway im starting my 3 month course in early Jul at SMU. Looking forward to going back to school but this time round is WORK thn School.

[ 祝我生日快乐]

Sorry for the late updates, i know my birthday was almost 3 months ago, still...

This is my 1st time having birthday partee at a chalet. which is a typical Singaporean to celebrate their brithday or other special day.

Im pretty tied up mostly by my work, so my preparation work were mainly with my frds' help. So special thanks who make it happened.

- Booked Chalet @ Chevrons with XM's help on Sep/Oct 08 (which 6 mths before Mar 09).
- Bought thank-u-gifts with Aisyah & Vivien's help in batches.
- Birthday cake & BBQ with Carol's advice/recommendation.

Day 1 (27.03.09)

I woke up earlier 6.30am excitedly to cont wrapping for the thank you gifts. But i cant finished them in time, so ended up in their original packaging.

Liting & XM came to my place to take my barang barang ard noon so to check in at 12pm. Vivien helped to take the cake for me at Westmall. So we cabbed there and when we reached, thn i realised i saw the check in time wrongly. Should be 2pm. (luckily vivien was not here yet, if nt she will /*+$%#)

The chalet was WOW, is it the nicest chalet with well-equiped of appliances available. We even bought xbox to play. By evening, i have received a few smses that my friends couldnt make it for partee, antz, sean, william, huiwen, ben, jacq & family. Aww. i almost want to broke in tears as i only invited less than 20 ppl and which they are the best of my friends that i have over these years. And aisyah & may will be late, i mean really late (u will know why later..)

So joanne & weisheng came 1st, we changed into our outfit for the day 'PJ=Pyjamas' and busy camwhoring. Then we started to bbq the food with the help from the guys (many thanks to XM & Weisheng)

To my surprise, those who said that they cant come, turned up except antz & sean who truly cant make it. Im so happy to see them! Chloe was the highlight of the day, with so many 'aunties' and 'uncles'. She almost cant recongised me as im dressed in a nightie and wearing the sequin cat mask. She almost cried.

Everyone was waiting for the cake cutting session but Aisyah & May still have arrived yet! so we brought out our liquor and start playing the 'big/small card game'. So the losers of the 2 greatest or smallest of the cards had to drink half a glass of the drink. Despite being the birthday girl, i kept losing and by that time May (the latest girl) arrived ard 12.30am which is my actual bday, i alr drunk and kept showing off my cat mask and my shining-purple-kiddish-bracelet to everyone~

So the photos taken onwards, im in fact in a trance state, clearly knowing wad happen ard but unable to control my expression.

So vividly remembered that they sung bday song, i gave my thank q speech, make a wish, take photos, poke des' stomach, cut the cake, open up the presents, gave out the 'thank you' gifts and said bye bye to them! Then i juz lied down on the sofa bed waiting for the liquor to clear off then start playing a round of MJ with des, liting & xm! which i don rmbr if i won! but i still be able to clean the room / clear the rubbish before going to the room and playing xbox then dozed off.

But i really thank you for those who came and grateful for all of you as being my friends to help me in my toughest time when i lost my dad and being understanding and there for me. So i arranged this partee to thank all of u!

Day 2 (28.03.09)

Woke up late, was lazing ard the bed and being a happy girl, i even played football with des on the xbox, i even trashed him with chelsea! (for tt day only).

The swimming pool was just in front of the chalet, but i din bring my bikini =/ din know it is so practically near.

So des invited his colleagues from HQ to the chalet to chill out so I! prepared the food while he continue to brush up his football skills and the guests arrived.

It's sweet for them as they got me presents and a birthday cake as this is meant to be a chill out session. Most of them left after 10pm and leaving 2 of them and we played MJ! I WON!.. forgotten how much.

BUT nevertheless i had the fun but shall not plan any partee at the meantime, it's a tough job to collabrates everything!

* sorry pictures not available at the moment. editing still in progress =_=*

[MEEKO]

Side track abit - on my previous post, i have been trying to put thing together and i did! will blog more on my bday and my 1st bkk trip. nid to resize and edit the photos.

Back to this post, guess wad i have found~

This lost female kitten that caught my attention under des' blk was hiding in / out of the drain. A moment struck me that it is the gift from Papa (ok crap reason to get keep the kitten) and i actually brought it back to des' home. bathed and fed her with milk. she was so well-behaved when i bathed her.

Our parents learnt about the kitten and i tot they might be unhappy and objected esp my momma. I even try to convince her that is the gift from Papa because of its short tail as momma had been bitten by a revengeful cat twice after stepping on the tail. And they like her. Even my mum find her very adorable and help to feed her when im working.*blissed and heng ar*

We named her Meeko after some random search of cat names. I intially named her 'TOTO' (the Sg Big Sweep) in order to please our parents but she din responsed to it. So we called her the 2nd name we chose, 'Meeko' and she reply with a short 'meow' to acknowledge it.

She had a jab at the doc for for anit-ringworm growth in her stomach and the doc identify her as a breed of cat known as Manx from her short tail and her hind legs are longer than her front legs.

And true enough from the reading of this breed of cat who is interested in everything u do and hope to help / get involve on wad you are doing. She is a very KPO kitten and always on a hyperactive mode when she is out of the cage. Meeko still young so she tends to find our leg / finger as toys and try to bite/bite on them despite of scuffing / scolding her.

Still she always get her ways by looking at you with her round eyes and sweet purr!
